I recently stayed at Solar Do Amanhecer in a comfortable room with excellent A/C. The hotel staff were very courteous and helpful. The breakfast buffet was great, offering a wide variety of fresh fruit, juices, cakes, breads. The hotel also has a fantastic view of the bay of Rio de Janeiro. , I was happy to learn that the money I paid for my stay went to support a Children's Charity.

Our family had a wonderful experience at this hotel located in a convenient area, a stone's throw from the ferry to Rio de Janeiro. We enjoyed the good sidewalk for running and were within walking distance to the beach. The clean rooms and decently comfortable bedding made for a relaxing night's sleep. The staff was friendly and the buffet breakfast was a great start to the day. The pool area on the roof offered a nice spot to unwind.

The noise from the outdoor cars playing music in the surrounding area was a minor downside.

We stayed during Carnaval when everything was frenetic in Rio. We had lovely view of Charitas Beach from our room, and view across to Rio. Disappointed that the local ferry to Rio was not running on weekends but were able to get to the Niteroi ferry without much trouble.

Very good prices for that area (during carnival in Rio); During working days it only takes 15 Minutes by catamaran to the center of Rio; good breakfast buffet; clean rooms

on weekends it takes up to 90 minutes by bus to Rio; view from the hotels room could be nicer (the sugarloaf would theoretically be in sight, but all rooms are in the wrong direction); the pool is too small for swimming, and the beach in front of the hotel is not so nice

I recently stayed at this 4-star hotel and had a fantastic experience. The location was perfect for me, as it allowed me to explore the beautiful area of Niteroi, including the nearby San Francisco beach. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, even changing my room at the last minute to accommodate my request for a crib. The room itself was very comfortable, with great air conditioning and all the amenities I needed for a luxurious stay. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, with a wide variety of fresh fruit, juices, cakes, breads. And on top of all this, I was pleased to learn that the money I was paying for my stay was going towards supporting a Children's Charity.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay. The location is great, within walking distance to San Francisco beach and close to high-speed ferries to Rio.

The restaurant staff was very professional and attentive, and the breakfast was good. The hotel was clean and well cared for. The front desk personnel responded quickly to each request.

In all other Booked.net hotels I stayed at the price given was the price I paid. This hotel had a 10% service fee. The hotel is across from a beach, but the water is dirty here and not recommended for swimming. The hotel is across the bay from Rio and it takes an hour by bus to get to Copacabana beach. There is no shopping nearby and very few restaurant choices apart from the hotel restaurant and the restaurant atop the nearby ferry terminal. Incidentally, the nearby ferry is one of the bright spots, but 11 reals per person or about $6.60 US gets you a ride to Prasca XV, the ferry terminal in central Rio that is still a 20 minute busride from the Copa or Ipanema beaches.

We loved the breakfast with fresh choices of fruit, juice, cakes, bread, and hot food. The breathtaking view of the bay was truly impressive, and the hotel’s diligent staff made our stay comfortable. We also enjoyed the convenient location near San Francisco beach, while being in a quiet area of the city with good transportation facilities.

parking was a disappointment.

Great location near transportation, allowing for easy access to nearby attractions. Staff are able to speak a variety of languages, which is always helpful. Rooms are well-maintained and provide water and snacks for a small charge.

The noisy air conditioning units and lack of noise isolation detract from the peaceful atmosphere. I found the breakfast options to be a bit limited and repetitive.

Great location! It was just a short walk to the beach and the ferry boats to Rio. The hotel also offered a car park, adding to the convenience. The breakfast was good and kept us full for most of the morning. We also enjoyed the fact that the staff spoke multiple languages, making communication easy.

The room was a bit small and outdated, but it was enough for our weekend stay. The pillows were not the most comfortable, but they did the job.
